Holiday Horror

As a diabetic, the holidays can be an especially stressful time. With all the special dinners, treats and more, it's easy to see why many diabetics are less than good to themselves during the holiday season.

However, the holidays shouldn't be an excuse for you to give up your healthy lifestyle and forget about your health condition. Being a diabetic doesn't mean you can't enjoy the holidays, it just means that you have to enjoy them responsibly.

Recently, I attended a Thanksgiving dinner in which all of the dishes were diabetic-friendly. What a lovely treat! I had so much fun dining without worry that I'm planning on hosting a Christmas dinner for all of my diabetic pals. The only problem? I'm no Julia Child. Does anyone out there have any diabetic-friendly holiday recipes they'd like to share?
